It’s Day 3 of my NYC takeover & I’m barely alive. The combined 4 hours of sleep in the last 48 hours might have something to do with my impending demise or maybe it’s the allergic reaction I’m having to the smell of my travel deodorant. You’re welcome for that over share. Make sure you’re following me on Instagram for even more over sharing & all the latest on my NYC adventures.
Can we talk about these heels for a minute? I have been on the hunt for the perfect pair of strappy nude heels for years. Literally, years. There are plenty of pairs that are gorgeous online or on other people but when I try them on they’re too wide, my toes hang over the edge, or the ankle strap is too tight leading me to the assumption that the style was made for people that weigh maybe 85 pounds. I’ve been searching for.ev.er. Until now, folks. I actually passed these over when I first spotted them at Kohl’s because I assumed I’d run into the same issues I had in the past & had almost completely written off finding the perfect pair. For some reason, I went back to try them on. There was only one box left & it was in my half size which I always take as a sign if I’m on the fence.
Insert overjoyed emoticon here. They fit. The toe strap was low enough so my toes did awkwardly hang over the edge. The ankle strap was adjustable so my ankles could breathe as I walked down the shoe aisle. Oddly enough, they’re comfortable. I know, right? Whoddathunkit? If you’ve been looking for a nude strappy heel I highly suggest this one. They’re the real deal, ladies.

Rock & Republic denim & heels provided by Kohl’s for the #DenimStyleChallenge. All opinions are, as always, my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that make District Sparkle possible!
Are those the jeans you were wearing on Saturday night? Love them on you, and can’t believe they’re from Kohl’s! New York City looks good on you too…you should come back more often!

Yes! Ah, thanks, Sam! It was a blast.
Oh gosh I love Kohls so much, seeing all those cute shoes there right now is way too tempting. Love your style.

Thanks, Alison! It was killer to walk away with just two pair. I’ve got my eye on a few others that might need a home soon :)
This is pretty much the outfit I live in on the weekends. Although sometimes I have to let my feet have a break and leave the heels at home. You look adorable.
I love nothing more than casual, relaxed clothing & a pair of heels. Adds a totally different element to the look every time! I hear you though, some days just call for flats!
what a great jacket that includes the hood. perfect for running around town and staying warm.

I liked this jacket online but I fell in love with it the second I put it on. It’s the perfect piece for this transitional weather. & adds a little edge to any look, which I love :)
