Two weeks ago I was out of work for six days with some type of sinus/flu/stomach virus situation. Let me tell you, it was unpleasant. While I would have prefered to spend the entire time under 6 layers of covers watching Friends epsiodes for the hundreth time, life still needed to be lived. Well, very specific parts of life. Like, walking Wendell, going to the grocery store for cough drops and gummy bears, and making that life saving trip to Jimmy Johns. I’ll admit it, in the beginning I coulda cared less if you were Uncle Jesse from Full House, I didn’t care what I looked like. But as I neared the end of my self-imposed quarantine I was ready to feel better and look better. For whatever illness may befall you, these as my must-haves for looking your best when you feel your worst.
Kleenex Cool Touch Tissues – Yes, they appear to be incredibly fancy but they’re the same price as regular tissues at CVS and you won’t be dealing with dry skin for two weeks after you recover. It’s worth hunting these bad boys down.
Hydrate – Inside and out. Make sure you’re drinking enough water and Gatorade to quench a camel but don’t forget about your skin. This is my favorite hand cream of the moment and this is the holy grail of all body lotions. All of the yes on this one.
Netflix – Because, obviously. What better time to binge watch Gossip Girl under this super comfy faux fur throw that just went on sale for $38. I used it as bedding until I caught Satan’s sickness. From first hand experience – best blanket ever.
And if you must venture out of the house for the sake of your dog’s bladder, more tea, or a party size bag of Butterfingers…
Well Rested CC Eye Primer – Ditch the concealer. This miracle stick instantly cools and recharges your under eye skin with aloe and caffeine. SOLD.
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick – One swipe. One swipe on each cheek is all I ask of you. This coupled with the eye primer takes you from OMG ARE YOU OK!? to Aww, you look kinda sick but in like a really adorable baby panda kinda way. Trust me on this one.
