It’s home decor week on District Sparkle since there’s a 98% chance I’m sitting in a pile of clothes strewn about my apartment while I wipe soft tears with torn jeans as I stress out about the outfits that I have yet to pack for Thursday’s departure. Translated: There ain’t no time for outfit posts. Send help. & Jameson. Every waking moment of this week, pre-NY bound bus boarding, is spent thumbing through the catalog of clothing in my mind all while trying to pick up those last minute essentials & text my NYFW PICs without running into shurbbery. Something I have yet to accomplish.
Per last week’s survey, you people wanted a look into my apartment. Today, we’ll focus on the theme & staples & we’ll get to the good stuff (pictures within the House of Sparkle) over the next three days. As you can imagine, my space is pretty devoid of any color. I have a print of pink doors from a little house in Paris hanging in my living room but that’s about it. It’s white, black, grey, & gold as far as the eye can see. Every now & again I’ll purchase a teal or hot pink accent piece that ends up getting a heavy coat of white spray paint a few days later. I’m a firm believer that color isn’t a necessity when you can play with neutral colored prints & textures as made clear by my wardrobe.
My space is always a work in progress so I’m planning on making a few additions (like this guy & these skinny little fellas) once my mind isn’t entirely wrapped up in runway related shenanigans. What are your must-haves for your living spaces?
