We’ve covered party shoes. Now it’s time to cover party attire.
There are two ways to approach a holiday ensemble. The first is to kick it in your typical threads and add a touch of sparkle with a fun clutch you wouldn’t normally sport or a sequinned jacket that you wouldn’t normally wear. The second is to use this magical time as an excuse to dress yourself up like a snow princess: a tulle skirt, a patent heel, rolling around in a pile of glitter… the works.
While I’m usually a sucker for the latter, this year I’m feeling casual. A lot of black on black on winter white. Which is actually just… regular white. Shocking. I’m most comfortable in it and I have the most fun mixing textures and prints within the same color family as opposed to mixing colors. And while I’m obsessed with Christmas, there’s no reason to dress like a mantle decoration at holiday parties. Keep it simple and add a little sparkle or dash of something festive. Including, but not limited to, pretty much everything at H&M right now. Have you SEEN some of their holiday collection pieces? Major sparkle situation.
I’m loving the wide leg pants – very sleek!

Thanks, Liz!
I love the glitter clutch. Next to the classic black and white it really pops and adds that bit of champagne buzz that all holiday outfits need. :)
Thanks, Maureen! I love this clutch and tend to overuse it during this time of the year :)
H&M Home has some *adorable* things! I love their pillow selection and I just picked up some great copper candle holders!Yay for holiday décor!
