I just took a job at a really conservative law firm where I am expected to wear suits every day. I’ve never been comfortable in heels & I’m looking for dressy flats that don’t look weird with suits. Can you help?
Just because you’re confined to suits on the daily doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with it. You’ve got your three basic suit staples: the pant suit, the skirt suit, & the suit dress. Any & all can be worn with flats. These are a few of my favorites for the office:
If you wanted to give the heels thing a try, I’d suggest starting small with a kitten heel & working your way up. Contrary to popular belief, they do make kitten heeled pumps that aren’t completely heinous:

I’ve tried what seems like hundreds of dry shampoos & I can’t find one that I like long enough to stick with for more than one month. Do you have a favorite?
I have spent years of my life dedicated to finding the best dry shampoo. I wish this was a joke. I thought my hair just refused to be labeled, ‘second day hair’, & was giving me guff just because it could. But then I tried the drybar’s detox dry shamp & it changed my life. I 100% suggest this product. They also sell a magical formula for brunettes since they’re always whinning about white residue.

I work in a more relaxed environment & I’ve been trying to make chambray work during office hours but have no idea where to start. Is chambray at work ever ok?
In a more formal office, probably not. But in your case, heck yes! Try pairing a chambray top with a monochromatic suit in cobalt or white. Or pair it with a vegan leather skirt & toss a blazer on to complete the look.

I’ve got this great rust colored blouse that I can’t bring myself to wear with black without feeling like a pumpkin. How can I wear this at the office?
When I can’t wear black my mind automatically tries substituting grey & then white. Get the best of both worlds & tuck the blouse into a white skirt. For all of you ‘No white in winter’ haters, I give you this. Oh, yes, you can. Unrelated note: Broncos colors below were not intentional. Go Skins.
Summer styling tip: Pair this same top & blazer with a skirt in 2014’s Pantone Color of the Year.
Great picks! I need to try that dry bar dry shampoo!
