Adding an Edge to Feminine Pieces

You don’t find a whole lot of feminine pieces in my closet but when you do, they’re hanging right next to leather jackets or utility vests. Just kidding, that’s of course ridiculous as none of those pieces are in the same family and my clothing is all organized by style. Is my crazy showing yet?

When I’m asked to describe my style in a few words, a handful come to mind but ‘feminine’ is not one of them. My style, like my personality, has a little edge so I tend to stay away from soft, ethereal pieces. The Lauren Conrad style is as cute as a damn button but it’s just not my vibe. But, when a LWD (little white dress) like this comes along you snatch it up and add a little roughness whether it be a utility vest, a leather jacket, or boots to match the mood. Even a chunky necklace or a stack of bracelet can toughen up a feminine dress like this.

As we move into the cooler months, I can’t wait to pair this LWD with a collared leather jacket and grey suede peep toe booties. Not feeling it? Dress it down with a denim jacket and converse.
